Big breaths

You'll often be told to take big (or deep) breaths when you're nervouse. Don't. It usually the wrong thing to do.

Why?

Because when you're nervous you'll probably be breathing in your chest, not using your diaphragm (belly). When you do this you'll just stimulate your body to produce adrenaline - the "fear hormone".

What you should do is make sure you're breathing low.. that is, low in your belly, not using your chest. That way you're body produces a load of the "feel good" and "keep calm" hormones are.
